Description

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The invention relates to a chemical vapour deposition process of a diamond coating on a support. This coating is characterized by a new diamond morphology in pyramid form made of submicronic grains. The invention also relates to coatings and articles obtained by this process.

BENEFITS

The coating can be chosen according the use of the tool:
the coating can bring a color code;
the process is well-suited for the treatment of tools of small dimension;
the process is clean for the environment since it avoids the chemical acid attack.
