Description

Software aiming at simulating systems using renewable energy sources is currently gaining interest.

The software ORIENTE can simulate and optimize the behaviour of a renewable energy system (RES) coupled with an hydrogen chain (H2) consisting of an electrolyser (EL), a fuel cell (FC), several storage systems for gas and water, a gas compressor to power loads that meet the constraint of autonomy and / or other forms of storage (batteries Ion / Lithium, Lead, Redox …)

In the case of a simulation, the sizes of subsystems established by the user are checked by the software in relation to its compatibility and power supply.
In the case of an optimization, only the load elements and technical features of the subsystems are entered by the user. Several results are then available: Energy shares RES & H2 , curve design in H2 and O2, uptime EL and FC, stock trends of H2, O2 and H2O, energy balances for each electrical node of the system …

The software was developed during the design of a system for a weather pounded in Cadarache as part of the project PEPITE funded by the ANR and is currently used as part of MYRTE project.
