This invention is related to the field of multicolor OPV solar modules.
The patented invention is an OPV module composed of cells with different shapes and different active layer materials. The cells have a non-rectangular aspect, and the module design allows minimizing the losses due to the interconnection of cells with different electrical properties, i.e. different active layer materials. At least one layer of the cells is ink-jet printed.
Functional 3-color OPV modules have been realized formerly by DisaSolar, on a 10×10 cm² substrate surface.
– Limitation of electrical losses that could be induced by the interconnection of cells made of different active layer materials (=polychrome module).
– Inkjet printing: highly customizable module design.
