There is a huge demand on solutions for electrical energy storage. In this field Lithium ion batteries are widely spread. Most common technologies use lithium salt such as LiPF6 dissolved in organic solvents (esters or alkyl carbonates). However, this electrolyte could cause safety hazards.
The use of gel or solid electrolyte is a way to avoid this drawback.
New polymer based electrolytes were developed for solid LIB. Starting materials are commercially available.
Synthesis at laboratory scale.
Polymer films made at a few cm2 scale
High conductivity
Easy synthesis
Possible non fluorinated electrolytes
Economical process
Film polymer
Solid electrolyte for Lithium Ion Batteries
