Laboratoire des Matériaux, Surfaces et Procédés pour la Catalyse (LMSPC), a CNRS laboratory (UMR 7515) in STRASBOURG, France.
The present invention describes a method to prepare a solid material containing entangled nanofibres and/or nanotubes, including a stage of growth under constraint of the nanotubes and/or the carbon nanonfibres within a confined reactor, as well as materials obtained by this process.
The material can be used for numerous of applications. It can be used as catalyst in a liquid for the catalysis of Friedel-Crafts, for example, or for desulphurization reactions of effluents or hydrogenation reactions of olefinic or aromatic compounds.
