Description

CONTEXT

Various methods for acquiring signals are known, in particular in the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) field. A method has made a name for itself in the last few years in the angiography field. It comprises a step consisting in injecting a contrast produc.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

The procedure involves injecting a quantity of radio contrast medium in a body part to fix itself in an examination area. The part is excited with help of a radiofrequency wave pulse in an adjustable frequency range according to magnetic induction and chemical displacement for some of the waves. Electromagnetic signals corresponding to magnetic resonance signals of protons which has undergone the displacement is detected.

BENEFITS

The procedure enables acquisition of the electromagnetic signals from the chosen examination area e.g. blood vessel and serves as a basis for reconstitution of an image. The procedure completely eliminates the signals coming from tissues that are not provided with the radio contrast medium.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Used for procuring electromagnetic signals from a body e.g. animal body and human body to analyze an examination area e.g. blood vessel, vascular network and organ.
